2 lb (1 kg) chicken wings
1 tablespoon canola oil
Sauces of choice (recipes
follow)
Air frying chicken wings couldn’t be easier, no matter what flavor sauce is
your favorite. Simply coat the wings with a little canola oil and air fry, then
toss the warm wings with the sauce after cooking. Make a few batches for
your next party so you can try all of the sauces featured here.
In a large bowl, toss together the chicken wings and oil.
Coat the Instant Pot® air fryer basket with canola oil spray and add the
wings, stacking them to leave as much space as possible between them.
Insert the basket into the pot and attach the air fryer lid. Press the Air
Fry button and set the cook time for 25 minutes at 400°F (200°C), then
press Start. Rotate and flip the wings when prompted.
Meanwhile, make the sauce(s) of your choice. (Sauce measurements will
cover a full 2-pound recipe of wings. If using multiple sauces for one
batch of wings, you’ll only need to use a portion of each sauce, not the
full amount.)
When the cooking time is up, use tongs to carefully transfer the wings
to a clean large bowl. Toss the wings with the sauce to coat well. If
using multiple sauces, divide the wings among multiple bowls and
toss the desired amount of sauce with each bowl of wings. (If making
BBQ wings, use only as much sauce as needed, ½–1 cup (120–240 ml),
depending on the desired texture.) Serve right away.
