½ cup (6 oz/170 g) honey
¼ cup (60 ml) Sriracha or
other hot sauce
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons unsalted
butter
Juice of 1 lime
MAKES ABOUT 1 CUP 320 ML
SPICY HONEY SAUCE
In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir together the honey, Sriracha,
soy sauce, butter, and lime juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat
to medium-low and simmer until the sauce has thickened slightly, 2–3
minutes. Remove from the heat.
MAKES ABOUT 1 CUP 160 ML
SESAME SAUCE
In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir together the soy sauce,
hoisin sauce, sesame oil, honey, vinegar, and garlic. Bring to a gentle
simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is reduced
by one-fourth, about 8 minutes. If the sauce begins to simmer too
vigorously, reduce the heat to medium-low. Remove from the heat.
After coating the wings with the sauce, sprinkle with the green onions
and sesame seeds.
