Einfache Vergangenheit


Form

Verb be: was/wereI was happy; the others were there. Ich war froh; die anderen waren da.
Regelmäßige Verben: Grundform + -ed*We worked hard yesterday. Wir haben gestern hart gearbeitet. The rain stopped at six. Der Regen hörte um sechs auf.
Unregelmäßige Verben: besondere Formen (s. u.)Tom came round earlier. Tom hat vorhin vorbeigeschaut. I forgot to tell you. Ich habe vergessen, es dir zu sagen.
Verneinung: was/were + not, sonst didn’t + InfinitivI wasn’t here yesterday. Ich war gestern nicht hier. The neighbours weren’t at home. Die Nachbarn waren nicht zu Hause. Bernd didn’t come last week. Bernd ist letzte Woche nicht gekommen.
Fragen, Kurzantworten: Verb be : was/were, sonst did (+ Infinitiv)Where was Andy? Wo war Andy? Were you here? – Yes, I was. / No, I wasn’t. Warst du hier? – Ja./Nein. Did Ed phone? – Yes, he did. / No, he didn’t. Hat Ed angerufen? – Ja./Nein.
