История:

One afternoon, Tom was walking home from school when he saw his friend Ben sitting on the sidewalk. Ben looked upset, and he was holding his knee. «What happened, Ben?» Tom asked, running over to him.

Ben explained that he had fallen off his bike while riding down a hill. «I think I hurt my knee,» Ben said quietly, wincing in pain.

Tom could see that Ben needed help. «Don’t worry, Ben,» he said. «I’ll help you.» First, Tom made sure that Ben was sitting comfortably on the sidewalk. Then, he looked around and saw that there was a bench nearby. «Let’s move over there so you can rest,» Tom suggested.

Tom helped Ben slowly stand up and carefully walked him to the bench. «I’ll call your mom,» Tom said, taking out his phone. Ben’s mom answered right away. «Hello, Tom! What’s wrong with Ben?» she asked with concern.

Tom told Ben’s mom what had happened. «Ben fell off his bike and hurt his knee,» Tom explained. «He needs some help.»

«Thank you for helping him, Tom,» Ben’s mom said. «I’ll be there soon.»

While they waited for Ben’s mom to arrive, Tom stayed with Ben, making sure he was okay. «You’re a good friend, Tom,» Ben said, smiling. «I’m lucky to have you.»

When Ben’s mom arrived, she thanked Tom again and took Ben to the doctor. «I’ll be okay,» Ben said to Tom. «Thanks for everything!»

Tom smiled. «No problem, Ben. That’s what friends are for.»
