The ark was a container which symbolically speaks of the heart, Psalm 119:11 states: “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee.” Instead of guarding the Word of God, this Cherub called the king of Tyrus, twisted, polluted, corrupted and attempted to destroy mankind by his everlasting desire to rid the earth of the Word. The next function of the Cherub is the worship of Abba Father continually without ceasing. When we worship the Lord GOD, our adversary flees because worship is initiated at the throne of God where the living Word lives and this fallen one is prohibited to enter.

The Word reaches farther and deeper than being spoken or written. The Word is a person whose name is Yeshua Jesus, our Messiah. It is said of Him, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that were made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. . . . The life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ” (John 1:1-4; 1 John 1:2-3 NKJV). This created being was once morally upright, but became absorbed with his unique and breathtaking creation. Desiring the attention and worship of everyone, he corrupted his wisdom.

The fallen Cherub once lived in the presence of the Almighty God offering worship, glory, and adoration but perverseness and dishonesty was gradually consuming his purity. He wanted to be worshiped as God, therefore he oppressed, misused his authority, and cast doubt in the hearts of men in an attempt to gain worship that is due only to the Creator. This fallen Cherub was also successful in perverting a large host of other angelic beings and they too, became morally corrupt themselves. The ultimate goal of this disgraced Cherub’s scheming was to gain unlawful access to the throne of God, to sit above God and to be worshipped as God.

This angelic being was lavishly created with precious stones and the ability to emanate melodious praise unto the LORD God that could be heard throughout the kingdom of heaven. This
