must have had a tremendous impact on everyone, because he was anointed to do so. As all of heaven worship the LORD, this Cherub craved to be honored himself, because it was from his own body that these melodious sounds filled the atmosphere of GOD’S kingdom. He must have said in his heart, “Why not worship me, I am the one from whom this melody is being poured out all over heaven,” so he devised a plan to overthrow the kingdom of God. Was he aware that the One who created him knew everything about him? Angels as well as humans, were given the power of choice and therefore the potential to decide which path to take whether good or evil, (for further reading see Isaiah 14:13-15). The LORD is gracious, if He created angels and humans without the capacity to choose, then His Sovereignty would be questionable. We prove our love, devotion and desire to serve Him and to live in His presence by our own choosing and because of this, we see His everlasting justice as well as His immeasurable grace on display towards mankind because we were created with a soul that carries a redemptive component.
This fallen Cherub was covered with nine precious stones and the metal gold from which his musical sounds resonated. Gold is a symbol of the divine nature of GOD, whose holiness was woven into this angelic being when he was created. The source of his pride was his unique covering of precious stones and dazzling gold, but this very attribute that was once the source of his uniqueness was about to cost him everything. He was stripped of his magnificent stature and cast from the presence of Abba Father. His burning was described as that of lightening, and as he fell his glowing beauty was consumed by the fire of GOD’S judgment. This Cherub had a measure of the divine wisdom of God, but through pride and obsession with himself, he became corrupt. Throughout the history of mankind, Satan has still been able to manipulate and taint our natural creativity especially in the area of the arts. Those who seek fame at any cost, fall victim to this disgraced Cherub’s schemes as they, too, are prideful and in so doing accept that which Yeshua Jesus rejected when He was tempted of the devil (Matthew 4:3-11).
All dark revelation and commitment to this fallen being may seem pleasurable at first but this is the bait that lures mankind. The ultimate aim of this enemy of mankind, created by the Lord in His image and likeness, is to steal, kill and destroy our soul in hell (John 10:10). Satan promises the prideful in heart
