great honor in exchange for their soul, which they willingly agree to, not knowing that their fame will come at a great price. Unknown to them will be the ever presence of tormenting demons, because they are a part of the deal. These evil spirits will be their chaperone and overshadowing until the day they die if they do not renounce Satan’s lordship and at their death he will send his entourage to escort them to meet their true master in hell. Whomever we pledge allegiance to, will be the one we will serve, not only in this world, but also the world to come. The twisting and polluting of the gifts given to mankind by God, started with the fall of this corrupt Cherub.
The king of Tyrus, whom Scripture identifies as the fallen Cherub, was a guardian in Eden. He was a protector, but out of envy and hatred, instead of protecting the human family, he intentionally deceived them by enticing Adam and Eve to disobey the LORD, thereby defiling his purpose and position as a Cherub that protects. The sin of Adam and Eve led to the fall of mankind because this fallen angel’s ultimate goal was to destroy the first family by having them eat from the tree of life as well (Genesis 3:22), which would result in a perpetual fallen state. After the fall of this disgraced Cherub; the LORD God placed other Cherubim in Eden to keep away intruders from the tree of life. Man had already eaten from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and nothing they proposed in their heart would be impossible (Genesis 2:9; 3:1-7).
It is important to note that the Lord created this Cherub using nine precious stones and not twelve, because twelve stones were set aside for Yeshua Jesus the true High Priest (Hebrews 5:1-10). The high priest in the Old Covenant was a typology of Yeshua; his official vestment was designed with twelve stones in the breastplate (Exodus 28:1-2, 13-21). Was this Cherub jealous that the vestments of the high priest, and the true High Priest, Yeshua Jesus had twelve stones and his had only nine? Was he also jealous that Yeshua has the authority to judge and he did not (Revelation 19:11-16)? Was he jealous of man, because the man in Yeshua Jesus is a royal priesthood unto God? Was he jealous that his three missing stones revealed Yeshua’s relationship with all mankind, which also declares the establishment of His future reign on the earth with them, a position he would never attain? Twelve is the number of perfection. The foundations of the New Jerusalem are built upon twelve stones found in Yeshua Jesus.
