Hand sanding
ОглавлениеI usually do some hand sanding once machine-powered sanding is complete. There’s invariably something in need of a touch-up—a glue spot, scratch marks, or an edge that’s not quite smooth enough. I start the corrective work using 220-grit sandpaper, but if that’s not sufficient I’ll go to 150-grit, then sand back to the higher grit. I may even give a once-over at 320-grit if it seems needed. I’ve found it a good practice to set the bowl aside for several hours and then take a second look for anything that’s been overlooked. Once you try this approach, you’ll be impressed by how much you catch the second time around.
