The Lost Dog – Потерянная собака
ОглавлениеOne sunny afternoon, Mia and her brother Jack are playing in the park. They are having fun when Mia notices something strange. A small dog is running around the park, looking lost. The dog has no collar, and it looks scared. “Jack, look at that dog!” Mia says.
Jack looks over and says, “It’s alone. Maybe it’s lost.” Mia feels sorry for the dog. “We should help it,” she says.
Mia and Jack slowly walk toward the dog. The dog looks up at them, but it doesn’t run away. Mia speaks gently to the dog, “It’s okay, little dog. We will help you.” She crouches down and stretches out her hand. The dog sniffs her hand and then licks it. “Good dog,” Mia says, smiling.
Mia and Jack take the dog to the park bench. “What should we do now?” Jack asks. Mia thinks for a moment. “We should ask people if they have seen the dog’s owner,” she says. They walk around the park and ask some people, but no one knows the dog.
Mia and Jack decide to take the dog to the animal shelter. They gently guide the dog to the shelter. When they arrive, the staff at the shelter are happy to help. “Thank you for bringing the dog in,” says one of the workers. “We will take care of it and try to find its owner.”
Mia and Jack feel relieved. “We did the right thing,” Mia says. “I hope the dog’s owner finds it soon.” Jack smiles and says, “Me too.”
A few days later, Mia and Jack get a call from the animal shelter. “We found the dog’s owner!” the worker says. “The dog is going home today.” Mia and Jack are so happy. “I’m glad we could help,” Mia says.
