It is Emily’s birthday today! She is very excited because she is going to have a birthday party with all her friends. Emily wakes up early, and her mom says, “Happy birthday, Emily!” Emily smiles and says, “Thank you, Mom!”

After breakfast, Emily and her family start getting ready for the party. Emily’s mom has prepared a big chocolate cake with candles. “Make a wish before you blow out the candles!” her mom says. Emily closes her eyes and wishes for a fun day.

At 2 p.m., the guests start arriving. Emily’s best friend, Sarah, comes first. “Happy birthday, Emily!” Sarah says, giving Emily a big hug. Emily thanks her, and they start playing with the toys. Soon, the other friends arrive—Jack, Lily, and Tom. They all bring gifts for Emily. “This is for you!” they say as they hand her their presents.

Emily opens the gifts and is very happy with what she gets. Sarah gives her a cute teddy bear, Jack gives her a book, and Lily and Tom give her some art supplies. “Thank you all so much!” Emily says.

After opening the presents, everyone sits down to eat. Emily’s mom has made sandwiches, fruit salad, and chips. The food is delicious. They all laugh and talk as they eat.

When it’s time for cake, everyone sings “Happy Birthday” to Emily. She feels very special. Emily makes a wish and blows out the candles. Then, everyone gets a slice of cake. They eat and talk some more.

After the party, Emily feels so happy. She thanks her parents for the wonderful day. “This was the best birthday party ever!” she says. Her parents smile and hug her. “We’re glad you had a great time,” they say.
