It is Saturday morning, and Lily and her family are going to the zoo. Lily is very excited. She loves animals and can’t wait to see all the different creatures. She wakes up early, eats breakfast, and gets ready to go.

When they arrive at the zoo, Lily sees many people walking around. There are children, parents, and even some tourists. Lily and her family buy tickets and walk through the entrance.

The first animals they see are the monkeys. They are playing in the trees and swinging from branch to branch. Lily laughs and points at them. “Look, Mom! The monkeys are so funny!” she says.

Next, they go to the lion’s cage. The lion is sleeping in the sun. It looks big and strong. Lily’s dad tells her that lions are very powerful animals. They continue walking and see many other animals: elephants, giraffes, and zebras. Each animal is different, and Lily is amazed by them all.

At lunchtime, Lily and her family sit on a bench and eat sandwiches. They talk about their favorite animals. Lily’s favorite animal is the giraffe. She loves how tall and gentle they are. After lunch, they go to the aquarium. Lily loves the fish. The colorful fish swim around in the water, and the sea turtles slowly move along the bottom of the tank. It is beautiful.

Before they leave, Lily and her family stop at the gift shop. Lily buys a small stuffed lion as a souvenir. “This is my new friend!” she says, hugging the toy. They all leave the zoo and drive home. Lily feels happy and tired after the fun day. It was a great visit to the zoo!
