It is a beautiful, sunny afternoon, and Anna and her family are going to the park for a picnic. Anna is very excited. She loves picnics because they can eat delicious food and enjoy the fresh air.

Anna’s mom prepares sandwiches, fruits, and some juice for the picnic. Anna helps her mom by packing the picnic basket. She puts in a blanket, some napkins, and plates. “We’re almost ready!” says her mom.

When they arrive at the park, they find a nice spot under a big tree. The grass is soft, and there is a little breeze. Anna spreads the blanket on the grass, and they sit down to eat. The food is very tasty. Anna enjoys the sandwiches with cheese and tomatoes. Her little brother, Tom, eats some fruit and drinks juice.

After lunch, Anna and Tom go to play. They run around the park and play tag. Anna loves to run fast. Tom laughs and tries to catch her, but Anna is too quick! They see some ducks swimming in the pond, and Anna decides to feed them some bread. The ducks swim closer to the shore and eat the bread.

Later, Anna and Tom go on the swings. Anna loves swinging high into the air. She feels like she is flying! Tom is scared at first, but then he starts to enjoy the swing too.

As the afternoon goes on, the sun begins to set. It’s time to pack up and go home. Anna and her family clean up the area, fold the blanket, and put everything back in the picnic basket. They walk back to the car, feeling happy and relaxed.

Anna says, “This was the best picnic ever!” She is looking forward to the next picnic in the park.
