36. Step to boost your mindset for success: Maintaining motivation on the way to the big goal

The e-mail box is overflowing, the next unprocessed letters are waiting in the mailbox and the dishes are waiting, but the motivation is in the cellar and you would simply prefer to lie down on the sofa and talk to friends or do something else pleasant. A good way to pull yourself together is to be aware of what it is good for, for example, if you process your emails or do the washing up promptly. To illustrate this quite consciously, it can be helpful to make a note of the reasons behind each task on your daily to-do list, with a view to achieving the actual big goal. This could look like this, for example: - Papers for the Office erledigen→ Reasons: Achieve financial freedom - Email abarbeiten→ Reasons: Clarity and structure to be independent, etc. So if you put your daily work in a meaningful relation to your main goal, you get your incentive and suddenly realize how much easier your activities are going to be. We all want to do something meaningful. By giving meaning to your rather unattractive but necessary everyday activities, your inner resistance disappears and you can pick yourself up again in the service of your goal. Be aware that you are on the best path to autonomy in achieving your goals, because if you achieve your goals, you have actively shaped your life the way you want it to be.
