Verses 22-25
And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the color of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above. And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies. And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings. And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
The prophet’s vision takes momentum; he sees what appears to resemble the expanse of the sky but in fact it was deep space. Much like what is viewed by astronauts; it is the place where the gravitational pull of earth has no control. Here again we see a play on words, because the firmament being described by the prophet has nothing to do with stars planets, galaxies, or such likes, but a dwelling place in God where man is free from the pressures and pull of the enticements of this earth as it is a place where man asks nothing from God, because it is not a place of supplication or intercession but a place of thanksgiving, praise and worship, as man basks in the presence of the Living God. This is not only the hope of man but also the home of man. A place where Yeshua Jesus presents us to the Father as a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation of a very special people to display our praise unto Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. In times past, we were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now has obtained mercy (see 1 Peter 2:9-10). The prophet viewed that under the place transliterated “firmament,” in many versions of the Bible is actually “space,” which
