Make Your Own Path
ОглавлениеInstead of waiting around for some inspirational leader to create a way for you to become prosperous, you have to figure it out for yourself. You have to create the path that you’re confident will get you there. (Because if you don’t see that path, you’ll never get out of inertia mode.) Now you’re probably wondering about your sponsor, and whether this isn’t their job. Technically it is. But you can’t count on that. If you want to be one of the best in our business, you must learn self-reliance.
Perhaps the most trying part of all this is the requirement that you leave behind victim mode and accept responsibility for manifesting your own destiny. That means you can’t get away with excuses. And you can’t blame your lack of success upon your sponsor, the company, or the profession. You have to accept responsibility for your own success—or lack of it.
This is not to say that you won’t encounter legitimate obstacles to manifesting that success. You certainly will. But so will everyone else. You can be a victim or a victor, but you can’t be both. You either choose to accept excuses and relegate yourself to victimhood or you commit to overcoming those obstacles and becoming a victor.
You don’t become successful because you have no challenges. You become successful because you choose to overcome your challenges. You choose to do the difficult work of effort, growth, and self-development.
It is only after you accept and implement this reality that you can become the kind of inspiring sponsor to your personal enrollees, and by extension, a model of leadership for the team. Which is what we will explore next.
