4. Micrografting

Оглавление

Micrografting of pistachio was investigated in vitro and ex vitro by Abousalim and Mantell (1992), but rejuvenation was not reported when mature trees were used as the scion. Different micrografting techniques have been reported (Abousalim and Mantell, 1992; Onay et al., 2003, 2004a; Can et al., 2006; Garcia et al., 2012; Marín et al., 2016; Onay et al., 2016). Details of culture conditions and media composition are provided in Table 2.3.3. Micrografting could also be used for predicting incompatibility between the scion and rootstock, histological studies, disease indexing, production of disease-free plants and multiplication of difficult-to-root plants (Hussain et al., 2014).
