It was Anna’s first week at her new school. She was a little nervous, but she was excited too. «I hope I can make some new friends today,» she thought as she walked into the classroom.

When she entered, she saw a girl sitting alone at a desk. «Hi, my name is Anna,» she said, walking up to the girl. «What’s your name?»

«Hi, I’m Sarah,» the girl replied, smiling. «It’s nice to meet you!»

Anna sat down next to Sarah, and they started talking. «I like drawing,» said Anna. «Do you like to draw?»

«I do!» Sarah said. «I love to draw pictures of animals.»

They talked about their favorite things – their favorite books, games, and animals. «My favorite animal is a dog,» said Anna.

«Mine too!» Sarah said excitedly. «I have a dog named Max. He’s really cute!»

At recess, Anna and Sarah played together. They ran around, laughing and playing tag. «You’re fast!» said Anna.

«Thanks! You’re fast too!» Sarah replied. «Let’s play again tomorrow!»

The next day, Anna and Sarah met again. «I’m glad we’re friends,» Anna said. «Me too!» Sarah said, smiling. «It’s fun to have a friend like you!»

By the end of the week, Anna felt happy. She had made a new friend, and they spent every day together. «I’m so glad I met you, Sarah,» Anna said. «I’m happy too, Anna,» said Sarah. «You’re a great friend!»
