Resumen: El concepto de Economía Circular permite una reflexión que vincule sus preceptos con aquellas propuestas precursoras desde las Ciencias Sociales, y que de algún modo sientan las bases de perspectivas coincidentes. Con esta intención, se propone una introducción breve al ámbito de estudio de la Antropología Económica, que se enmarca como sub-disciplina o campo de investigación vinculado al contexto de la Antropología Social y Cultural. En concreto, se propone una revisión de los antecedentes y posibilidades de la Ecología Política, entendida como concepto que posibilita abrir un debate sobre sus posibilidades en torno a la idea de Economía Circular.

Abstract: The concept of Circular Economy allows a reflection that links its precepts with those precursor proposals from the Social Sciences, and that somehow, lay the foundations of coinciding perspectives. With this intention, a brief introduction to the field of study of Economic Anthropology is proposed, which is framed as a sub-discipline or field of research linked to the context of Social and Cultural Anthropology. Specifically, a review of the antecedents and possibilities of Political Ecology is proposed, understood as a concept that makes it possible to open a debate on its possibilities around the idea of Circular Economy.
