Zumba is a regimen combining Latin dance music and dance moves in an energetic 45- to 60-minute class format. As a beginner, don’t feel intimidated—there is room for your own interpretation of the dance moves. With its base in aerobic conditioning, Zumba includes elements of strength endurance, speed, flexibility, coordination, balance, and agility. It’s a whole-body, moderate- to high-intensity class that burns 300 to 800 calories.
