There are more truths to be revealed as God strategically placed the faces of the living creatures north, east, west, and south. The first position given was the right (Ezekiel 1:10), which corresponds with east the positions of the faces of the lion. The Word of God tells us that Yeshua is seated at the right hand of God, (Mark 16:19; Acts 2:33; Romans 8:34; Colossians 3:1; Hebrews 10:12; 1 Peter 3:22). When Yeshua returns, He will be seen coming from the east, (Matthew 24:27). This position is speaking of the new man in Yeshua, not that he is or ever will be God, but this picture reveals that like Yeshua, he is the son of God, for the Spirit of Yeshua lives in him making him an Overcomer.
The next position identified is that of the bondservant, the left or west. It is stated in Ezekiel 1:10 that the faces of the ox, [oxen] were to the left. Man is next seen as ruling with Yeshua the Lion of the tribe of Judah in his role as a bondservant. Man must first prove himself as a bondservant, before he is given the authority to rule and reign with Yeshua as kings and priests. For this reason man is first introduced as an Overcomer in Yeshua (the lion), and next as a bondservant (the oxen). The oxen is a domesticated animal that has been castrated; it is a type of eunuch, having been deprived of its ability to reproduce of itself and is solely used for the purpose of servitude. The message given here is that man is called to serve, he cannot preach his own gospel and he cannot claim ownership to anyone because he, too, needs a Savior. Like the oxen, man is totally dependent upon the Lord. For this reason, oxen are never offered as temple sacrifice as they are laborers in the vineyard of GOD.
