are able to see and this is the way of the eagle. The eagle is said to have acute vision and the ability to soar at great heights using updrafts of wind. The eagle is not afraid of any atmospheric disturbances and is said to be the only bird that flies directly into a thunderstorm. This is a picture of the prophet or watchman of God; he or she is fearless as they deliver God’s messages of hope or rebuke. The eagle occupies the south while man is in the north; a straight line without any curve in his visual depth or perception. Man as the prophet or watchman of God will wear the mantle of a priest when Yeshua Jesus reigns on earth (1 Corinthians 13:9-10). This belief will be justified as the hidden treasures of the book of Ezekiel are revealed.
There is so much more to the Hebrew Text of the Old Covenant that reveals greater depths of truth and the LORD God wants us to search them deeply and laboriously with the patience and tenacity of an archeologist for by doing so great truths are reveled. More will be explored as we continue our journey through the book of Ezekiel. These are only the foundational principles of God’s dealing with man; soon we will see a greater picture unfolding as we explore these awesome truths.
Verse 10 has shown the four attributes of man:
Man as a ruler – the main faces of the living creatures
Man in Yeshua – the young lion
Man as bondservant or minister – the ox/oxen
Man as a watchman or prophet – the eagle
