Verse 11

Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

The first portion of this verse was covered in Ezekiel 1:9. In verse 11 however, the wings of the living creatures are “stretched upward,” which is an act of complete surrender, worship, adoration and praise. This is a total of six wings, which is the number connected to man. On the first day of creation God separated light from darkness, and at the second coming of Yeshua; He will also separate light from darkness, saints from sinners, wheat from weed, and sheep from goats; this will echo the beginning of renewed worship unto our Maker as the Bride of Yeshua Jesus as seen portrayed by the joining of the wings of living creatures one to another.

The wings of the Cherubim were stretched upward. Two wings covered their body; Kasah [3680] is the Hebrew word transliterated “covered,” some of its meanings are; to conceal, hide, to clothe, to cover sin, to forgive, or to keep secret. Hebrews 2:16-17 applying the NKJV states: For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. This is a picture of man in Yeshua Jesus being covered and his sins forgiven, therefore, we must be shining examples of Yeshua. Man in Yeshua must seek peace and make a lifelong commitment of pursuing it, because it is a reflection and demonstration of our love for one another and our God given attribute to forgive.
